Refund policy

At Discrepancy Vinyl we want customers to shop with confidence. Our systems are designed to provide transparency and self-service order management throughout the fulfillment process.

Please review the policy below for information regarding returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, and backordered items.

1. Return Eligibility Window

Eligible items may be returned within 20 days of delivery.

2. Return Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return:

Vinyl Vista reserves the right to deny returns that do not meet these requirements.

Customers are encouraged to use a trackable shipping service for returns, as Vinyl Vista is not responsible for return shipments lost in transit.

Returns sent without prior approval may be refused.


3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, customers should contact us as soon as possible.

4. Customer Remorse Returns

Returns requested for reasons including:

  • Ordered incorrect item
  • No longer wanted
  • Accidental purchase

are considered customer remorse returns.

For customer remorse returns:

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law

5. Backorder & Preorder Cancellations

Customers may cancel eligible unfulfilled backordered or preorder items directly through their customer account portal prior to shipment.

Once an item has entered shipment processing or has shipped, it may no longer be eligible for cancellation and will instead fall under the standard return process outlined in this policy.

Refund eligibility for canceled backorders or preorders may vary depending on fulfillment stage and payment processing status.


6. Restocking Fees

Restocking fees may apply in certain situations, including:

  • Items returned in materially different condition
  • Items missing components or packaging
  • Returns that violate this policy
  • Excessive or abusive return behavior

Restocking fees, when applicable, may be up to 30% of the item value depending on inspection results and return condition.

Vinyl Vista reserves the right to determine final restocking fees after inspection.


7. Refund Processing

Once a return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible
  • Processing times may vary depending on banks and payment providers

If an exchange is approved, the replacement order will be processed after return approval.


8. Store Credit

In certain situations, Vinyl Vista may offer store credit as an alternative resolution option.

Store credit may be offered for:

  • Faster resolution processing
  • Certain cancellation scenarios
  • Partial order adjustments
  • Other approved support resolutions

Acceptance of store credit is optional unless otherwise specified during a promotional or special-order transaction.


9. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law:

  • Membership subscriptions
  • Digital products
  • Final sale items
  • Opened or used consumable products (if applicable)

Membership cancellations must follow the terms presented at signup or checkout.


10. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers experiencing issues with an order are strongly encouraged to contact Vinyl Vista directly before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

Our support systems and customer portal are designed to provide self-service solutions for:

  • Backorder management
  • Refund requests
  • Shipment tracking
  • Order issue resolution

Initiating a chargeback for an order that remains eligible for direct resolution through our support channels may delay the resolution process.
